Masonry with maturity

Standing Stone Masonry is under the sole proprietorship of Tom Parkin, a classically-trained mason with experience in both Alberta and British Columbia. The firm is insured and registered with all three levels of government. Standing Stone builds in accordance with the BC Building Code. Clients are assured that even non-visible work is done to high standards and that their home or property will be enhanced into the next century. There’s no ‘rock star’ attitude here!

Stonework as sanctum

Anyone who chooses stone or brickwork on or around their personal sanctuary leaves a legacy--a touchstone of achievement. In this world of quick construction and faux authenticity, stonemasons stand aside to work with hammer, trowel and chisel. There simply isn't a better way to ensure the care, pride, or creativity of this ancient art. View our Standing Stone page to quickly learn a few of the features which distinguish quality work. Construction with conscience

Stone and brick used for housing reduce energy consumption because they replace more intensely-manufactured materials. They also reduce heating costs. Stone and brick meet modern needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. This is the essence of sustainability. Simultaneously, they diminish demand on valuable forest resources. These are significant benefits for both the owner and the environment.
